Brittany Murphy's Death Now Known * *





The results are in on Brittany Murphy’s death. Brittany Murphy died from multiple drug intoxication, pneumonia and "iron deficiency anemia. Brittany was found in her Hollywood Hills home on Dec. 20, 2009 and despite frantic attempts by her husband, Simon Monjack, and her mother, Sharon, to revive her she would not come around. At first they were thinking her death was because of a congenital heart murmur. When the paramedics searched the house they found a series of prescription drugs on the nightstand in the master bedroom. The medicine bottles were in Brittany Murphy's name, the name of her husband, Simon Monjack, her mother, Sharon Murphy, and an unidentified third party. The medications that they found included Topamax (anti-seizure meds also to prevent migraines), Ativan (anxiety med), Biaxin (antibiotic), Methylprednisolone (anti-inflammatory), Fluoxetine (depression medication), Klonopin (anxiety med), Carbamazepine (treats Diabetic symptoms and is also a bipolar medication), Vicoprofen (pain reliever), Propranolol (hypertension, used to prevent heart attacks), and Hydrocodone (pain medication). Brittany was 32 when she died and appeared in move like Clueless, Girl interrupted and also 8 mile with actor and singer Eminem. Brittany was born in Atlanta and by the age of 9 she was already doing theater roles and by 13 she was doing television. Brittany was laid to rest in a twilight ceremony in Los Angeles on Christmas Eve.
