Hello everybody i wanted to do a quick shout out to everybody here about one of my entertainment blogging buddies grand opening of her new entertainment blog. Her name is Shemah and i have known her for a little while. She used to have a blog on today. com but decided to branch out on her own. Nightmare On Elm Street * *

My movie release pick for this weekend is “Nightmare on Elm Street”. This is a new release of a well known older movie. The original movie came out in 1984 and Wes Craven wrote and directed this one were Samuel Bayer directed and Wesley Strick and Eric Heisserer wrote the newer version. This is a re-make of the horror icon Freddy Krueger, a serial-killer who kills people while they sleep. He wears a glove with four blades embedded in the fingers and kills people in their dreams, resulting in their real death in reality. Rotten tomatoes web site does not give it a very good rating stating” it is lacking the depth and subversive twists that made the original the horror great that it was.” It is rated R and is 95 minutes long. IMDb gives it a little better review than what rotten tomatoes did. It is set to hit the theaters 4/30/2010 and I think the remembrance of the older version should carry this one to a good opening day. If you are a fan of horror flicks and like the original one you might just want to see this one just to take a walk down memory lane. Enjoy the trailer I have below.

American Idol Results Show * *

It was American Idol results show last night and the top 6 are battling it out to make sure they will not be voted off this week. The 6 contestants that are left are Arron kelly , Casey James , Crystal Bowersox , Lee Dewyze , Michael Lynche and Siobhan Magnus. Each of them sounded good in their own way. Crystal who is usually the judges favorite was not this week with her rendition of no one needs to know. Casey James got the high praise this week with his style of "Dont" saying that it was one of his best performances yet. The one that America did not like this week was Siobhan Magnus singing "Any man of mine" "I'm going to miss you," Simon said, giving her a hug, and Ellen promised that she'd see Siobhan on her show. So now we are down to five. What do you think was she the one that had to go home or in your opinion should it have been someone else. Dancing With The Star Elimination Night * *

Dancing with the Stars was on again last night and it was another great show. As everybody knows Kate got voted off last week. Truly I think it was way past time for her to leave the show because she just could not dance at all. As usual the judges were asked what was their favorite dance and couple for this week and they replied Chad and Cheryl for this week. They had a swing dance marathon on this week’s show and it was great. All the couples got on the dance floor and kept dancing till they got tapped off. When all was done Nicole and her partner Derek were the winners and got 36 points for that. So if you watched the show and even if you did not I will tell you that Jake and Chelsie were the ones that got voted off. It was a great week and I am looking forward to next week because now it is only going to get harder for the dancers so they better be prepared for it or they will be the next one going home. Kristin Cavallari Host Bikini Party * *

Kristin Cavallari was in Las Vegas this weekend promoting here new season on “The Hills” also she hosted a bikini party at Liquid Pool Lounge in Las Vegas. It is said to be the newest adult-only pool party to hit the Vegas Strip. Kristin wore a tiny black bikini with a sheer black top that showed off her shapely figure .Kristin stated that she was nothing like her character on the hills. She said that she is not a bitch and said "If you asked my real friends, they would say I'm definitely not a bitch." Later that night Kristin was found at the Bank nightclub inside the Bellagio hotel dancing the night away. This season Hills is suppose to be the best season yet. I guess we will just have to watch to find out.

The Backup Plan * *

Hello everybody my movie preview and review for this week is Jennifer Lopez’s new movie called “The Backup Plan. Jennifer Lopez plays a lady called Zoe who is a pet shop owner who conceives twins through artificial insemination, only to meet the man of her dreams Stan played by Alex O’Loughlin on the very same day. The director of this movie is Allan Poul who has produced many television programs like swing town, take it to the limit and six feet under. You will watch as Zoe goes through the trials and tribulations of pregnancy in this romantic comedy. Jennifer’s real life twins are two years old now and she decided it is time to get back in the lime light with this movie. It is set to come out this weekend April 24 at theaters. So if you like romantic comedies or if you like Jennifer Lopez go check it. There is a small clip of the movie here at the bottom for you to preview.

Heather Locklear Arrested * *

Heather Locklear who is most known recently for her return to the television show Melrose Place was arrested recently for a hit and run charge. She allegedly hit a no parking sign on a street near her house in Ventura County, Calif. On Saturday morning around 4 AM and decided not to tell anybody about it. She was driving her black BMW when it happened. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a knocked-over parking sign, making it obvious that a car had jumped the curb. When deputies came to her home, they reportedly found damage on her BMW that matched evidence from the scene. She was cited for hit and run and arrested but because her offense was a misdemeanor, she was only cited and released. This is not the first vehicular offense for Locklear, who was arrested in 2008 for allegedly driving under the influence of prescription meds in Santa Barbara. She pled not guilty and was placed on informal probation for three years. It looks like her real life is turning out like her Melrose show life.

Jennifer Garner turns 38 * *

Jennifer Garner celebrated her 38th birthday this weekend with her husband Ben Affleck and a few close friends like Reese Witherspoon and her close friend Jim Toth.She had a group of her friends sing "Happy Birthday" to her which included Molly Sims, Jason Bateman with wife Amanda Anka, Tobey Maguire with Jen Meyer, Don Cheadle, Jimmy Kimmel, Jon Favreau and Laurence Fishburne. Of course it would not be a perfect birthday with out there 4 year old daughter Violet there to help in the song. I still think she looks as beautiful as ever what do you think.

Death at a Funeral

My featured movie for this weekend is “Death at a Funeral”. It has well known actors in it like Chris Rock, Danny Glover, Martin Lawrence and Tracy Morgan. The director of the film is Neil Labute. He has directed movies like” Lake View Terrace”, “The Wicker Man” and “The shape of things “. It is an adaptation of a British movie with the same name that was made in 2007. When Aron played by Chris Rock father passes away their family and friends join them at their father's funeral resulting in a laugh riot comedy that will have you rolling in the aisles. The movie is only 90 minutes long so you won’t be sitting down for a long time and with all the comedy you might not sit down at all. Danny Glove and Chris Rock do a great job with their roles in this movie as well as Martin Lawrence. The movie is set to hit the theaters on April 16 2010. I have added the trailer for the movie here so you can get a sneak peak of the comedy.

Steven Seagal in legal trouble * *

One of my favorite action stars is having some legal trouble now. Steven Seagal is being accused of sexual harassment and illegal trafficking of females for sex. The accuser is a 23-year-old former model by the name of Kayden Nguyen. Nguyen was hired as Seagal’s "executive assistant" position back in February of 2010. Nguyen is also accusing Seagal of using her as his personnel sex toy. In the law suit Nguyen states that Seagal pushed his hands under her skirt and fondled her breasts then proceeded to move his hands down her pants. But what gets me is she stayed there and did not report anything till the following morning. Then the following day Segal continued to do things like force her blouse open and stick his head in her breast. What really sounds strange is Seagal continually sexually harassed her and yet she didn't quit? Nguyen just stayed there and continued to take it. Seagals lawyer Mr.Marty Singer stated that Nguyen is a disgruntled ex-employee who was fired for using illegal narcotics. Nguyen is suing for $1 million dollars. My question is why stay there two or three days and let someone do these things to you and not leave if you don’t like it.

Jessica Biel & Justin Timberlake Split Again * *

The latest news out of Hollywood is Jessica Biel & Justin Timberlake is split again and maybe just maybe for good this time. The two have been in a relationship for the past 3 years and both have been working hard and will remain friendly, but there's no more romance there anymore. It was mutual to split and they agreed it was best to part ways if this weren't going to head towards marriage. They both have very busy and stressful careers and it was hard to keep something going when they were sometimes on different ends of the world. They seen it coming but just did not know exactly when. How long has it been since you seen them both photographed together? They both thought they were truly meant for each other and they looked very good together but it just did not evolve like they thought it was going to. Now to add more nails to the coffin of the relationship Justin is now making a movie with his ex girlfriend Cameron Diaz. I wonder if there will be any steamy love scenes in this movie. It seems like a lot of celebrities are calling it quits right now. If this is true I wish them both the best.
